When
it comes to Bruce Willis' work,
many critics and moviegoers seem to be related to Night Shyamalan's
dead people.
Willis
is a classical example of typecasting: he gained his fame
(and fortune) largely through Die Hard and other action movies,
and people tend to have a knee-jerk reaction at the mention
of his name. They only see the typical all-brawn, no-brain
he-man who saves the world by bursting in with a drawn gun
at a dramatic moment. Some critics then proceed to bash Willis
for only appearing in bad films - while his performances in
anything besides action blockbusters are either quickly forgotten
or met with baffled consternation.
This
site is a tribute to a versatile entertainer, a honest dramatic
actor and a capable comedian.
